Hampir satu tahun berlalu setelah gempa besar menggoncang daerah timur laut Jepang. Indonesia, sebagai negara yang juga sering diguncang gempa dan diserang tsunami, ada baiknya belajar dari bangsa Jepang. Di saat semuanya hancur tak berbekas, ada tangan-tangan yang berpegangan membantu para korban. Bantuan dari luar pun dengan segera disampaikan kepada orang yang membutuhkan. Para pejabat pemerintah setiap hari hampir tidak tidur, karena harus rapat dan membahas langkah kerja rehabilitasi daerah gempa dan tsunami.
Berikut adalah beberapa gambar-gambar yang bisa menggambarkan hasil kerja pemerintah Jepang dalam kurun waktu 1 tahun. Gambar yang menunjukkan keadaan sesaat setelah gempa, dan keadaan sekarang kurang lebih 1 tahun setelahnya. Dari semula penuh sampah dan reruntuhan, sekarang sudah bersih dan siap dibangun kembali.
